It was obviously an encrypted sequence it probably could’ve been solved by children given some time. Second, the message was sent is too straightforward to solve. I mean all police documents related to the case have been publicly released so it wouldn’t be hard imagining someone using that information to impersonate Sphinx. First is the problem that despite all past messages from Sphinx were posted through video sharing isn’t it a stretch to say that everyone just willingly accepts that this mass text thing is actually from Sphinx. Like many of past Zankyou no Terror episodes, there is a critical flaw in the course of events. In terms of story, instead of Sphinx challenging the police to play a game, we have Five challenging Sphinx to a game of “airport chess”. This in itself isn’t inherently bad, just that the writing doesn’t feel like it has motivated her inclusion strongly enough. It seems as though Lisa is in the story to be an unknown factor or possible weakness for Sphinx. What she is exactly supposed to do is not revealed. Because Five expects Nine and Twelve to show up they need someone unassociated to help, making Lisa join in a rather convenient manner. This episode has her joining Sphinx to stop the bomb at the airport. She is often used as a tool to instigate some development and character from Sphinx. Her utility to the narrative is coincidental and contrived. The problem is that she doesn’t feel like she has a place in the story. Despite being terrorists Lisa aspires to be like Sphinx, which makes sense seeing that the boys are strong whereas she sees weakness in herself. Being liberated from her home by Sphinx has led to Lisa developing an attachment to Nine and Twelve. Shibazaki’s place in Zankyou no Terror’s narrative is a solid one it really feels like he should be in the story.Ĭontrast that with Lisa. When Shibazaki (and some fellows) decide to ignore the red tape and confront the situation it show motivation and initiative. Though he is fighting crime his disposition isn’t over idealised, instead he takes on the role of the discerning veteran. He is reasonably intelligent and has a strong sense of justice. I like the way their handling Shibazaki’s character. Kurahashi and Shibazaki give some exposition and character. The sudden appearance of the FBI and Five leaves the metropolitan detectives with a bruised ego. On the police side, things are as one would expect.
ZANKYOU NO TERROR EPISODE 1 ANIMESHOE FULL
There are still much in the way on mystery, and only watching throught he show would yu get the full picture. That’s generally the thing with Zankyou no Terror. Twelve’s synesthesia is introduced, and I don’t know what kind of relevance it holds. Much is shown about Nine and Twelve, though at this point I don’t feel like I could really say what they mean.

Though she obviously shares a past with Nine and Twelve I get the feeling that she’s genuinely insane, which makes her an interesting adversary considering Nine’s logical nature. Five’s condescending attitude and rather inhuman tone-of-voice immediately allows us to dislike her. The episode does well to define her character. A genius working with the FBI Five confronts them by challenging Sphinx to a game. We are formally introduced to Five, the figure from Nine and Twelve’s past. This week’s episode of Terror is a build-up to what will most definitely be an action-packed climax.
